Josh has been recognized over the last ten years as one of the top 25 golf coaches in America for junior golf by Future Champions Golf. In that time he has worked with over a dozen AJGA All-Americans, 15 AJGA tournament winners, 10 state champions and over 50 of Josh’s students have gone on to receive college golf scholarships to such schools as Oklahoma, KU, Arizona State, Miami, Nebraska, Southern Illinois and many more.
In addition to juniors, Josh also works with a number of professional golfers. His students played on the PGA Tour, LPGA Tour, Korn Ferry Tour, Symetra Tour and many more. In 2019, Josh’s students won 6 professional events around the world and had over 30 Top 10 finishes.
For the last eight years, Josh has been the Director of Instruction at Firekeeper Golf Course in Mayetta, Kansas. He gives over 1300 lessons a year to all skill levels, started a year-round junior program with over 50 students this past year and does multiple day golf schools. Josh also started the Kansas High School Coaches Clinic where over 40 high school coaches come from all over the state for a full day of training and education.
Before coming to Firekeeper, Josh was the Lead Instructor at the Hank Haney International Junior Golf Academy in Hilton Head, South Carolina. From 2005-2011, the HHIJGA was home to over 130 of the top junior golfers from around the world. In that time, Josh’s students won some of the most prestigious junior events around the world including the Junior Amateur and the Sage Valley Invitational and two of them were ranked No. 1 in the world. In those six years, over 200 juniors received college golf scholarships to some of the top universities in the country.
Josh has worked with some of the greatest golf instructors in the country including Hank Haney, Peter Krause, Gary Gilchrist and Lucas Wald.
Josh is married to Katy Nahm who is the Associate Head Coach for Women’s Golf at Kansas University.
